The stories appear normal on the surface until you take a ride to an unknown underworld. Successful authors have used this style to create the best mystery books for adults. Here are a few of these titles.

Stephen King is known for his ability to weave a believable story. Tana French is the author behind the title The Secret Place.

He has a chance to rediscover his investigative instincts.

Mysteries in novels take several forms. Depending on your interest, there are numerous titles that will capture your attention. Considering the difference in writing styles, it would be difficult to pick the best unless they are categorized. However, the above titles stand out because of the nature of their narratives.
